Emily Tash is a brides, bride! She could teach a class on being a bride.
Emily is a beautiful red headed woman full of grace and elegance and the daughter of the sweetest daddy and a mother that is a ball of fun!
Emily came to us with a vision and great expectations, she was precise in what she wanted and did not, we really loved that about her!
Emily Ruth Tash and Kristopher Janis Pickens were married October 23, 2021, at 5:00 in the afternoon a ceremony on the chapel lawn here at Bradford Farm.
Emily is the daughter of Charles and Gina Tash of Florence, and Kris is the son of Roy and Dace Pickens of Richmond, Va.
Emily suggests to "Make sure to set aside time on your wedding day to spend with your spouse. Things can get busy and overwhelming but opting to do a first look or having a private dinner together before your reception can make a huge difference. We are so glad we were able to do these things, and we left our reception without any regrets."
Emily chose a fall color pallet that she incorporated into everything. She had each bridesmaid in a different color dress, and each was a different fabric, incorporating the different textures to the attire lineup was done perfectly by her selections. Emily had dreams and visions of florals that pushed our talents to new levels and heights. We structured tall floral columns to take center stage of the ceremony and we were so proud of them we relocated them to the reception site and placed them near the cake table. Groomsmen were sharp dressed too in navy suits with coordinating silk ties of deep rich fall colors.
After the ceremony guests gathered on the patio and were served signature cocktails and feasted on charcuterie board spreads compliments of the caterer, Southern Skillet. The reception hall was opened up to dinner and Southern Skillet's signature Tuscan Chicken and Brisket were on the menu. Emily's wedding cake was a painted cake that was adorned with florals that matched her wedding colors and was made by Heather's Cake Creations. Guests danced the night away to the tunes of the band and wraped the night up with a firework sendoff provided by TNT Fireworks.
Emily featured her wedding in Tennessee Valley Brides Magazine, which we encourage all our brides to do, but she had a suggestion to other brides as they are planning their weddings that we wanted to share!
Something to inspire other brides: Your vendors matter. Choose people that you connect with and who really want to help you achieve your vision. I would not change one single person we worked with, and I truly attribute the seamlessness and perfection of our wedding day to them. I will also encourage brides to choose things that really matter to them and stick to it. For me, I really wanted beautiful fall flowers, a fun band, an open bar for our guests to have a great time at the reception, and for our dog to be incorporated in our day as much as possible. Heather brought all of my floral dreams into fruition more than I could have ever imagined. Our band created a fun atmosphere that kept us and our guests on the dance floor all night long. All Shook Up created the perfect signature drinks to match Kristopher’s taste and mine. Our guests loved them and asked for the recipe even weeks later! We were able to incorporate our dog Ginger in our favors, a customized watercolor bar sign, and by bringing her to the venue that day! Choose the details that will make your day everything you’ve ever dreamed of, and spend less of your time, energy, and money on the things that aren’t as important to you.
Emily and Kristopher your wedding was one for the books! We are so thankful that you chose Bradford Farms to share in your "I Do's". Don't stay in Florida too long, come see us soon!
