We started spring off with a beautiful wedding in our Treasured Forest location where Kaci and Ethan promised forever to each other in front of family and friends.
This day was full of special moments and unforgettable details that came together with lots of planning and preparation from our bride, her mother, the Bradford Farms team, and we can't forget the groom. Ethan was a very supportive groom/one of our most supportive grooms and wanted to make sure his bride's dreams came true. He was eagerly anticipating the day, so his opinions played a huge part in many of their final wedding decisions. That is rare!
First looks are our favorite, and our team loves to be a part of that moment. Ethan stole our hearts with his first look at Kaci - that is for sure! First looks are one of the most anticipated parts of the day. Prepping the bride and groom is always exciting and we do our best to pump up the groom, while calming his nerves at the same time. It is a Bradford Farms tradition to ask the groom what he thinks “THE DRESS” looks like. We have had some elaborate guesses and some grooms are just clueless, but Ethan will go down as our favorite with his response of “nothing I can imagine could even compare to how beautiful I know it will be”.........you win, Ethan, you win! Ethan’s love and adoration for his bride was written all over his face when he turned around and was speechless by the lace gown with off the shoulder sweetheart neckline and rhinestone belt. Kaci twirled, making sure her groom had time to soak in every detail.
Blush, cream, white arrangements with a touch of dried florals and buttery soft flowing cream fabric draped the dark walnut stained arch that was nestled under the towering pines. A lantern lined aisle created a picturesque landscape for the nuptials where Kaci and Ethan shared a unity ceremony that was a first for us here at Bradford Farms. The bride and groom each brought dirt from their childhood homes and planted a Japanese Magnolia tree, which will be placed at their first home together as husband and wife. The combining of the earth from where they each grew to be who they are today is now together, will never be separated, and will be with them as they grow together in the next chapters of their lives. Such a sweet symbol of their (everlasting?) love and devotion to one another.
The Southern Skillet team once again delivered an A-plus menu of brisket, parmesan crusted chicken, twice baked potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and green beans. Reception decor included black linens, black taper candles and floating candles, gold lanterns with more gold touches in vases, candlesticks, chargers, and a cake stand holding a beautiful five tiered wedding cake adorned with fresh florals and blackberries.
Ethan and Kaci danced the night away, had the best time with their wedding party, and exited the evening under sparklers with tons of cheers and excitement as the festivities were wrapping up and the new Mr. and Mrs. Colbert headed to their honeymoon destination.
