Who knew a social media post could turn into a trip down the aisle?!?!?
Here at Bradford Farms, our brides and grooms become like family, even though we only get to spend a short time with them. It’s always important for us to make sure the couples are comfortable so we go “all in” and find out all the details…how they met, how they proposed, and so on. This week, while carting the groom to his first look location, we wanted to know how his relationship with his bride began. Blake said “Well, we went to the same church when we were toddlers, we went to the same school, she was a few years younger than me, but I always kept up with her. She posted a photo of a doughnut on Instagram and I messaged her and told her it looked really good and here we are now!” Funny how things start, isn’t it?
Raegan and Blake chose April 10th, 2021 for their ceremony on the front lawn of our venue overlooking the new pond and beautiful green trees with a glimpse of the chapel in the background. Bradford Farms was in charge of the florals and we decorated our beautiful dark walnut arch with white flowers, greenery, silver eucalyptus, and just a touch of blue. Raegan also chose blue for her bridal party. Each girl wore a different style of dress in a flowy chiffon fabric. Their bouquets of hydrangeas, Eskimo roses, spray roses, and astilbe were the perfect complement and had just the right amount of color to be the finishing touch to her bridal party. The bride - all we can say is “WOW”! Classy, elegant, and just plain gorgeous do not even seem to put into words how Raegan looked on her wedding day. Her dress was made of the most beautiful white fabric. It was not flashy, but it was a showstopper for sure. It was off the shoulder with ruching to flatter her in the most beautiful way and a cathedral lace lined veil. Raegan carried a bouquet of David Austin roses, white Eskimo and spray roses, dendrobium orchids, and white lilies. Blake and his groomsmen were decked out in navy suits, white shirts, blue ties, and caramel brown shoes.
After the “I dos”, the guests feasted on charcuterie boards from Southern Skillet on the patio before entering the venue for their dinner. Menu items included chicken alfredo spinach ravioli, skillet ziti, roasted herb shrimp pasta, complete with garlic bread and Italian salads. The bride's and groom’s cakes were made by the aunt of the groom. The new Mr. and Mrs. got to dance and have a great time with their friends and family before a sparkler exit led them on their way to their honeymoon in Las Vegas for a week.
Raegan and Blake, you both made our job easy. Thank you for sharing this special time with us at Bradford Farms!
