Through Snow, Sleet, and Rain…….Love Prevails!
Over the last 2 years, many brides have had to plan their wedding during a national pandemic, but when Ashley said “YES” to Blake I bet she had no idea what else was in store for her. The bride and groom had originally chosen Saturday, February 19th 2021 for their big day on the front lawn at Bradford Farms. Due to typical winter weather patterns in Alabama, however, plans changed without a lot of notice. North Alabama experienced a record breaking snowfall the week before their wedding and although it was breathtakingly beautiful, it did put a halt on plans that had been in place for months. Ashley and Blake made the decision to push their wedding back a week ,and as luck had it, Bradford Farms had that date open. The motion was set in to play and we went to work.
Moving the wedding back, even just a week, was no small task. The ability to reorder flowers, change catering arrangements, and having all the necessary vendors available was truly a work from the Lord. The icy weather had put huge delays on the shipping of necessities for the event, but we were all able to scramble to work around that. Then the rain came, literally! Plans for a wedding on the front lawn were ill advised with more than a 50% chance of rain for the weekend, so inside we went.
Ashley and Blake had to be patient and understanding. They had every opportunity to lose it with good reasoning. February 27th rolled around and everything went off without a single glitch. Photographs that will last a lifetime show the beautiful burgundy and pink florals, the sweetest group of friends, red velvet cake, and a breakfast bar reception fit for a king. The night came to a close with the biggest and brightest fireworks exit we have had.
Ashley and Blake did get to sneak over to Bradford Farms for some some gorgeous pictures in the snow on their original wedding date. That was very special to us and we hope that they will treasure those unique shots for a lifetime. Not many Bradford Farm brides will get to experience snow - at least not for many years to come. Ashley, you were a true gem to work with. Your ability to adapt and go with the flow was remarkable and we all enjoyed our day with you so much! Blake, treat her right. She is one in a million, that’s for sure, and you aren’t too bad yourself. Love you both and thanks for spending your wedding day with us at Bradford Farms.
