Emmaleigh Hensley and Ethan Nix were married on Saturday, March 26th. Emmaleigh and her bridesmaids were the first bridal party that were able to use our new bridal suite. Everything on Bradford Farms was built with placement in mind, angles and lighting were behind every decision so that perfect pictures would be the outcome. Emmaleigh being the first bride to get dressed and photographed in the new bridal suite was exciting and the light was more perfect than we could have imagined.
With the new movement of the girls to the new bridal suite that meant to guys got a new place too! Groom and groomsman have been moved to the cottage on the hill, which we think all our upcoming guys will love. They have privacy and a nice patio to hang out on and enjoy the weather. They also get a birds eye view of the property and a nice place to keep cool in the upcoming summer months.
Emmaleigh and Ethan chose to say vows in the Treasured Forest with her father officiating the ceremony. Bridal party was dressed in all black and looking sharp. Emmaleigh also had two “Something Blue” girls that entered in before the ceremony. As the old saying goes “Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue” to bring the bride good luck on her big day. Emmaleigh’s something blue girls were sweet, happy and just a nice touch of something special added to the day to bring her good luck. Emmaleigh had a first look with her father in the chapel. Jeffery and Emmaleigh are cut from the same cloth, their infectious personalities were contagious and kept the day light and fun. Before her first look with the groom, Emmaleigh and her daddy practiced their first dance just one more time. While shuffling daddy of the bride around he expressed what a sweet time he and his daughter have had over the past few months taking dance lessons and spending time together before she became a Mrs.
Ethan’s first look with his bride was just what we expected-she blew him away in her mermaid fitted long sleeve gown, cathedral length veil with beading detail. Emmaleigh was gitty with excitement to get to show Ethan her dress and how she looked in it and we all agree-she was a knock-out!
March weddings do from time to time tend to get windy and on March 26th it was windy to say the least but that didn’t damper the photos or excitement for the day. The wind seemed to calm down right at the perfect time before the ceremony under the tall Alabama Pines. After the ceremony guests dined inside the reception hall on brisket and parmesan crusted chicken and all the sides, danced the night away from tunes played by Gus Spears.
Florals for this spring wedding were designed by the Bradford Farm team. White and toffee roses, dried naturals, and flowing greenery. Reception décor had some touches of gold and lots of floating candles along with the florals. Emmaleigh changed into a reception dress that was more comfortable and allowed her to get foot loose on the dance floor with her friends and family.
Emmaleigh and Ethan, we are so glad you chose to get married with us at Bradford Farms! We wish you years of wedded bliss!
