These two lovebirds came all the way from Mississippi to say "I do" on Bradford Farms. North Alabama is a second home to Katelyn who has been a standout player for the University of North Alabama’s Women’s Basketball team until she completed her degree and graduated in 2020.
Katelyn had a few unique ideas for her ceremony and we loved them all! Katelyn and Collin said their vows on a hill under two big trees. This location is unique because it is in the middle of our property and offers a 360 degree view of everything Bradford Farms has to offer. You can enjoy the wooded ceremony site, the open air chapel, and the reception venue stands across the way on a hill. The sound of the fountain in the pond can be heard softly in the background. It might be one of our best locations yet!
Collin has a love of motorcycles so Katelyn wanted to make sure to incorporate that into the ceremony. We were super pumped to oblige. Collin and his five groomsmen brought their sharp, shiny, and LOUD motorcycles to the farm. We lined them up in front of the venue and when it was time for the ceremony, they rode in, parked behind the back row, and the guys hopped off and headed down the aisle. This was unique for us and them and we are so happy we got to incorporate the love they have for motorcycles into their ceremony. When the wedding came to a close, Collin and Katelyn rode off into marital bliss on his maroon Harley. We cant wait for you to see those pictures!
Katelyn chose the prettiest shade of blue for her bridesmaids dresses. Each lady chose a style that was fitting and flattering to their body type. Katelyn was the prettiest bride in her spaghetti strapped mermaid fitted gown, with lace, beading, and sparkle like we have never seen before. She was gorgeous. Not just any bride could wear that dress, but Katelyn owned it! Flowers were an assortment of orchids, dahlias, white rice flowers, moon stone roses, helleborous, spray roses, astrantia, hydrangeas, and died naturals. Ceremony aisles were lined with cellar vases full of silver dollar eucalyptus and other greenery. Vows were said under the dark walnut stained arch with a beautiful mix of flowers. Tables were draped in silver crinkle crushed taffeta and silver and gold candlesticks lined them for the reception.
Southern Skillet served up pork tenderloin and chicken marsala as their main dishes. Wedding cake was a three tiered naked cake with buttercream frosting. Carrying on the love for motorcycles, the groom's table was adorned with Harley Davidson memorabilia along with a two tiered strawberry and red velvet cake made by The Flour Girl and a mixture of strawberry, butterfinger, and oreo cheesecakes made fresh from Southern Skillet. The bride, groom, and guests danced and enjoyed their time together celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. Rone.
Katelyn and Collin, thank you for picking Bradford Farms and sharing your family with us here in North Alabama even if it was only for a day. You are all always welcome here. Congratulations on your life together!
