The One Where Abby Got Married!
All weddings at Bradford Farm are special and unique in their own way for our farm crew but Sunday, March 27th was a little extra special for us. The bride, Abby Holt, started working on the Bradford Farm crew late in 2021 and her daddy, Matt Holt, is head of our security detail and has been with us from the start it seems like. When Evan popped the question and wedding planning started finding a date on the calendar to get Abby down the aisle was a top priority for her and our whole team. Marrying off one of our own here on the farm was the only way we were going to have it.
Abby and Evan chose a Sunday afternoon wedding out on the pavilion overlooking the new pond with double water springs fountain, it was a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony. Abby was a laid-back bride that at times was so comfortable on her wedding day that we had to remind her that she was the BRIDE for this one! Abby and Evan had a packed pavilion of family, friends, and loved ones that were eager, happy, and giggly to celebrate the couple. I do’s were said under our hexagon arch with greenery, white florals and dried naturals. Abby’s mermaid off thee shoulder style dress fit her perfectly and Evan was a sharp dressed man in his gray suit too.
After the couple and their wedding party danced down the aisle the wedding guests entered the venue for an afternoon dessert reception of cookies, doughnuts, cheesecakes, fruit, a bride and groom’s cake and to round out the flavors and add a little salty to the mix; homemade chex mix, cheese ball, spinach dip and a charcuterie board full of cheeses and crackers was the perfect plate full to celebrate the new Mr. and Mrs. Hester.
First dance for the couple and the groom and his mom were the norm, when Abby and father of the bride, Matt, hit the dance floor they showed out some skill in an almost 5-minute show-stopper father/daughter dance that received a standing ovation. That was definitely a first for any weddings at Bradford Farms. So if you are a future bride spending your wedding day with us, dust off your dancing shoes and get to work because Abby and Matt set the bar high and all their guests loved it and so did we!
Abby and Evan kept their wedding day short and sweet and that is exactly what they wanted. The bride and groom mixed and mingled with their guests and exited on the front lawn under a white confetti cannon send off that was picture perfect for our farm crew girl and her new hubby.
Abby, we love you and are so excited we got to work AND celebrate you on your wedding day. Evan, you married Abby so that means you got us too-Welcome to the Farm Crew Family!
