Lizzie and Shawn
Gosh, where do we even begin?!?!?!
The months of planning that went into this wedding would be exhausting to most, but to us it was a dream. This bride and her mom left no detail untouched and their thorough planning made everything perfect for Lizzie and Shawn’s wedding day. The bride and groom call Tennessee home, but the bride’s roots are planted deep in Alabama. Her wedding taking place here was an absolute must when the decision making began. Their love for horses and life in an open field, I think, played a huge role in why they picked Bradford Farms for their location to say “I do”.
The groom, a professional farrier and the bride, a realtor with her spare time being spent riding her own horses, wanted to incorporate their love for horses into their wedding day with a little southwest flare. Groomsmen were fitted in slim dark gray suits from Party Pros, shiny and stylish cowboy boots, and hats completed their look. Bridesmaids wore soft pale blue dresses and carried bouquets of all white roses with just a subtle hint of pink. The bride's dress was soft and elegant with a silk skirt and detailed design with a sheer underlay. Her bouquet was all white moonstone roses with perfectly picked peonies for this special day and this special bride. A handmade leather wrap was laced around her bouquet with the bride and groom's new signature brand. It was a perfect addition and just one more detail that we loved.
The bridesmaids that Lizzie chose to stand by her side were stellar! They rallied around her all day and made the loudest giggles and laughs for their bride. Abbey was a bridesmaid that we met first thing on Saturday morning. Abbey and her parents showed up with a truck full of food for the wedding party, an emergency bridesmaids kit, and laughs - they were a great way to kick off the day. While Lizzie was getting ready, she realized she forgot her “something blue” but Abbey came in for the win with a special set of sapphire earrings she let Lizzie borrow. If every wedding party consisted of bridesmaids like Katie, Mary, Abbey, and Shelby I don’t know if we could handle that much fun! Girls, you were the best and you have left our team at Bradford Farms with great bridesmaids' goals for every future wedding here.
The ceremony took place on the front lawn of the venue, facing the trees that overlook the new emerald pond with a beautiful shot of the open-air chapel complete with a picture-perfect sunset. It was a perfect landscape for Lizzie and Shawn’s “I dos”. The bride and groom vowed forever under a handmade horseshoe arch made by the groom and draped with white florals by our team. White chairs were a crisp addition to this wedding on the lawn with aisle markers of fresh silver dollar eucalyptus and ruscus. After the ceremony, the guests gathered on the patio for drinks and fresh charcuterie boards. The venue was transformed for this special reception? into a space of all white with nothing but glowing string lights to create the vision that Lizzie had dreamed of for so long. Dinner was served by Southern Skillet. Their famous Tuscan Chicken and Prime Rib with sides were delicious and loved by all. All Shook Up bar catering services had another drink bar setup inside to make sure that all guests were taken care of at all times. Wendy Weeks created a beautiful 4-tiered cake. It was almost a naked cake, but with a little more delicious icing, silver accents, and the Spillers branding to detail. The Midnighters sang, played, and kept the guests dancing to some of the greatest hits from years' past. Southern Skillet served hot delicious pretzels as a late night snack before guests wished the bride and groom off at the close of the evening under fiber optic wands that lit the way to their getaway car provided by Regan’s Ride.
